As a father, I highly suggest the blog post ‘10 Things I Learned from My 4-Year-Old ‘. I am not all that sure how I came across this but was really impressed that the author was so in tune to his son.

I am keenly aware that fathers are rarely portrayed in a good light and think that this is incredibly unfortunate. Maybe it is just my circle of friends, but I know how dedicated men can be to their children. Perhaps this is our own fault. Men seem to be confortable being only thought of in a business since. After all, most men will tell you about their jobs when you ask about them.

I also know that I will not be able to change this alone. I just wish that I could stop preparing myself for the worst whenever I hear about a ‘father’ on the news.

So, good job Steve. I can only hope that I am equally aware of the impact that my sons have on my life.
